American Academy of Ballet

As an affiliate, Tiny Tutus Dance Center incorporates the AAB “Steps” curricula, along with their Performance Awards, into our ballet program.

The Steps Program is a co-ordinated plan for the development of technique and performance at each age.The Performance Awards Program is an extra study track for our Tiny Tutus ballet students. This program incorporates disciplined learning, attainable goals and award for accomplishment. Examinations by The American Academy of Ballet are offered but not mandatory.

In this exciting program, for ballet dancers age 5 and above dancers (Starlet Level + Prima Level) are taught specific exercises and routines from the American Academy of Ballet alongside our Tiny Tutus ballet curricula during class.

In January, at the Performance Awards, specific exercises and routines are danced before a judge from the American Academy of Ballet. Medals and certificates are awarded to each participant, and every student receives a medal to signify the accomplishment of completing their specific level.

The AAB program is taught throughout the U.S., as well as in 10 other countries. There are 12 levels, allowing dancers to build upon their experience, year by year.
